 Dr. Phouthakannha Nantharath or Dr. Tar is a Lao-American. He received his high school and college education from the United States. Dr. Tar received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and minor in Statistics from University of Minnesota-Twin Cities (2011), a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Metropolitan State University (Saint Paul, Minnesota, 2012), a Master of Business Administration-Emphasized in Management Information System from Metropolitan State University (Saint Paul, Minnesota, 2014) and a Doctorate of Business Administration-Emphasized in Business Economics and Finance from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota (Winona, Minnesota, 2018).

      Dr. Tar has over half a decade of research and professional experiences working with non-profit organizations, government entities, and academic institutions in Minnesota, USA. His skills and specialties range from finance, data analysis, research & planning, to economic development at both micro- and macro level. Dr.Tar’s interested fields of research are econometrics, growth & economic development, and macroeconomics in general.
